Air Products’ facility at Aberdeen, which supplies diving and other specialist gases and equipment to the North Sea’s offshore oil and gas industry, has scooped a coveted Gold Safety Award from the European Industrial Gases Association (EIGA). The facility has received the award for its impressive health and safety record, after notching up 50 consecutive years without a lost time accident. The company’s facility at Siewierz in Poland also received a Gold Award for Safety.

Gary Adam, commercial manager at Air Products, said:
“When it comes to diving gases and gases used for use during subsea construction or oil and gas exploration, quality and reliability are crucial. We are supplying these products in a fast-changing business environment, where safety standards are a priority. For this reason, the Gold Safety Award from EIGA is especially highly prized.”
