R. Stahl's Yodalex series includes a wide range of signalling devices for hazardous areas, such as the YO6 omni-directional horn, the V6 beacon and the YL6 combination unit. All units feature an IP66 aluminium housing with machined flame paths which provides »ex d» ignition protection (flameproof enclosure). The YO6 horn has a maximum sound output of 110dB at one meter, with a sound selection consisting of 32 internationally recognised tones. The beacon provides a 5 Joule high-intensity flash at a rate of 1Hz and is available in 7 different lens colours. The YL6 combination unit offers a fully integrated sounder and strobe built into a single enclosure and provides omni-directional sound and light. They are ATEX and IECEx-approved for use in zones 1, 2, 21, and 22 for gas and dust atmospheres. Optionally, the devices can be activated through a telephone call. All Yodalex products comply with European as well as North American standards. Edited by: Constanze Schmitz
