Knick's MemoRail digital plug-and-measure analyzer enables easy pH, conductivity, and oxygen measuring with pre-calibrated Memosens sensors. Pre-calibrated sensors can be used without an on-the-spot visualization on the transmitter. The analyzers, which feature a 12.5 mm wide modular housing, are compatible with all Memosens sensors – pH glass sensors, ISFET and oxygen sensors, conductivity sensors with two or four electrodes, and electrodeless sensors. They can be easily configured via a DIP switch. The measured process value and the temperature can be transmitted to all common PLCs as floating signals via two standard signal current outputs. MemoRail is available with two power supply types. A 24 V DC model can be connected either directly or via DIN rail bus, and a VariPower model can be operated at 90...230 V AC/DC. In addition to MemoRail, the company offers an assort-ment of Memosens components including MemoSuite, a software tool for cali-bration, diagnosis, and documentation, and the PortaSim simulator. The wide range of Memosens sensors covers virtually all possible applications. About Memosens
The key benefit of inductive transmission of measuring data and supply voltage lies in the easy handling of the sensors in rugged environments. With conven-tional sensor technology, various factors such as humidity, corrosion, and min-eral deposits at the contacts can distort the measured values. Moreover, too long or unsuitable cables and insufficient galvanic isolation can result in further errors. The inductive Memosens plug system allows for contact-free transmis-sion of digitalized measurements from the sensor to the analyzer. Process val-ues and sensor-related data can be stored and analyzed directly in the sensor. Moreover, perfect galvanic isolation makes expensive sensors with a solution ground or additional equipotential bonding electrodes unnecessary. Memosens technology significantly improves measurement quality while at the same time minimizing maintenance costs. Pre-calibrated Memosens sensors last up to 40 % longer than conventional products, and reduce process downtimes. Edited by Constanze Schmitz
