FIBRE OPTIC PRESSURE SENSOR

The P-01 is a fibre optic pressure sensor appropriate for all dangerous and demanding locations where accurate measurements are essential with the greatest safety. It allows petroleum and gas companies to measure accurately the flow in all sorts of pipelines as well as liquid levels and more. Due to its passive nature results it is explosion proof. The use of light and absence of electricity results in absence of sparks and EM immunity. Fibre optics and the Fibre Bragg Grating technology are being used in order to measure pressure ranges from 1 to 150bars in temperatures varying from -10 to +60°C. The required temperature compensation is included in the sensor. The standard accuracy is 1%FS. For more demanding environments there is the possibility of customisation. The head of the pressure sensor is foreseen of a thread that allows connecting the sensor to pipelines, valves and vessels. The sensor is produced with materials certified to withstand the corrosive environments, its relative small size allows it to be installed easily.
