The company now offers additional protection for the longevity of its pumps. The Allready Box is an electronic module that continuously monitors a pump’s operational state. In the event of operational deviations or disturbances, it immediately emits a warning. In urgent cases it triggers an alarm and even has the ability to switch the pump off in hazardous conditions and switch over to a secondary unit. This monitoring device can be mounted on new pumps or retrofitted to existing pumps at any time. One sensor measures the liquid level in a leak can below the shaft seal. A second sensor monitors the temperature at the bearing bracket. If one of the values reaches a critical value the device will trigger an optical warning. If the level or temperature continues to climb and exceeds a second limit value, it will trigger an alarm. Signals can also be forwarded to external displays and integrated into the customer’s structures, such as an existing control center.
PCN Europe’s March issue features an Industry Special covering issues concerning the Environment, we look at the role heat management plays in the world’s largest CO2 test facility, in another one we discover a zero liquid discharge treatment process for waste water. Our Product Focus on Measurement Technology includes among others an application story showing how predication and performance monitoring on a oil & gas platform enables onshore personnel to monitor essential equipment. In our technical article we look at ways to eliminate mechanical issues in differential pressure systems. At this time of the year we are looking forward to the trade show season, especially at Hannover Messe, the leading industrial trade show. This edition also presents you with many other application stories and product news from all areas of the processing industries, enhanced with datasheets and videos.
