Motrac Hydraulics, a subsidiary of the company Royal Reesink N.V., announced a few days ago that they will be acquiring the activities of the German manufacturer IMAV-Hydraulik GmbH. In the meantime, the official acquisition contracts have been signed. IMAV-Hydraulik has over 38 years of experience in the development and construction of standard and customized hydraulic manifolds for OEMs and system integrators.

Director Reesink Industries, Koert Huisman says: "Our objective is the prevention of customer concerns by delivering more added value. The takeover of IMAV-Hydraulik is a good example of such added value for our customers." For many decades, IMAV-Hydraulik manifolds have been globally utilised within a wide range of applications on the 'mid market', ranging from the mobile to the maritime sector.

Maarten Vinkesteijn, Commercial Director of Motrac Hydraulics: "As an organisation, we have succeeded in expanding our broad product range with the takeover of IMAV-Hydraulik, situated in Willich, Germany. Our team, consisting of no less than 100 employees, enables us to act as a more prominent market player thanks to the combined knowledge and engineering capabilities of IMAV-Hydraulik/Motrac Hydraulics."

Nicolai Linssen, the current Director of IMAV-Hydraulik, adds to this: "Together with Motrac Hydraulics, we are now in a position to achieve our plans for international growth. So our future perspectives are quite promising indeed."

Both companies deal with technologically advanced innovative products. In addition to owning a production site in Germany, IMAV-Hydraulik has agents in China and the United States. 80% of their annual production is intended for the German market and 20% for exports. Motrac Hydraulics, having served for many years as a dealership for Linde pumps, Bücher valves, Völkel control systems and Eaton components, is now able to maximally serve their customer base thanks to the company's own production of manifolds in Willich. From now on, IMAV-Hydraulik will continue its activities under the business name of 'Motrac Hydraulik GmbH'.

As is the case today, IMAV-Hydraulik products will be distributed under the 'IMAV-Hydraulics' brand name. The takeover of IMAV-Hydraulik matches Motrac Hydraulics' long-term vision to evolve into a major systems integrator in Europe within the field of mechatronics. "As a company, we will focus on the expansion of the various fields of technological expertise required for this objective. Next, we will step up the promotion of our products on new markets in different countries. In this context, innovation is the key ingredient of all of our business activities", explains Vinkesteijn.
