Designed for a use in food and beverage industry, laboratories and pharmaceutics, the DMP 331 Pi precision pressure transmitter by BD|SENSORS combines proven features with new digital technology.
The signal from the silicon sensor is processed by the newly developed digital electronic system, performing thus an active compensation of sensor-specific deviations such as hysteresis, thermal errors and non-linearity.
The DMP 331 Pi offers extremely high accuracy (0.1 % FSO), excellent temperature response (0.04 FSO / 10 K), processes the sensor signal using digital electronics. Furthermore it features hygienic process connections and is optionally available with a digital interface.
The pressure transmitter measures pressures from 0 … 100mbar to 0 … 40 bar and guarantees accurate measurements at temperatures from -40 ... +125°C. Together with a cooling element, media at a temperature of up to 300°C can be measured.
In addition, the device is optionally available with an RS232 communication interface and allows the offset, span and damping to be set on a customer-specific basis. This pressure transmitter is available in an intrinsically safe version for a use in explosive environments.

PCN Europe’s May issue features an Industry Special concerning the chemical industry; in one of our articles on the subject we look at 100 years of industrial-scale ammonia production, another one shows you how overhead stirring systems helped to improve the efficiency of polymer synthesis. Our Product Focus on Plant Networking includes among others a case study about a SCADA system providing supervision for a confectionary manufacturer. You might also be interested in our technical article highlighting how modern communication technologies change terminal operation. This edition also presents you with many other application stories and product news from all areas of the processing industries, enhanced with datasheets and videos.
