AWARD WINNERS 2010 |
Publication: May 2010 |

The PCN award is given every year to an outstanding product for the processing industries. It is awarded to a product that shows an innovative solution to problems typical to the processing industries. An important requirement is furthermore a high reader interest and the international orientation of the maufacturer. Through the extension of the temperature range to 450 °C and the higher chemical resistance of the antennas, the new generation of the Vegapul radar sensors has a much wider application spectrum. Ultrafast microprocessors provide more power for signal analysis and enable complex processing algorithms.
Modern electronic components allow a never-before realised signal evaluation and a better differentiation between product level and vessel installations. The sensors belong to the plics plus instrument generation, allowing for simplification and standardisation of measurement technology for the user.
VEGA Grieshaber KG is a leading supplier of level, switching and pressure instrumentation. Established in 1959 in the Black Forest area of Germany, VEGA today employs 900 people world-wide, 500 of whom are at the company’s headquarters in Schiltach.
