Liquid and Gas Pumps for water treatment

These liquid and gas pumps offer a suitable solution for a great variety of applications. Due to the Bimor’s selfpriming and d r y - r unning capability, this pump is applicable for air and non-explosive gases. While conventional liquid pumps historically use diaphragms which need complex mechanics to operate, the Bimor pump uses simple Piezoelectric Bimorph technology. As a consequence their life time is significantly longer (using water it is more than 50,000h). A big advantage in comparison to peristaltic pumps is that the Bimorph element is the only expendable part, so during its whole life time the pump is completely maintenance-free which means there is no need to exchange any wetted parts. In addition the power consumption of the device is much lower than that of conventional pumps as well as its very low noise level of under 40dB(A). The maximum pressure is 180mbar and the flow rate for water is 220ml/min.

Vision sensor as presence or measurement sensor

The Checker 3G series of vision sensors offer simple setup, integrated part detection, lighting, I/O and job change all in a rugged IP67 housing. The user chooses whether to configure the sensor as a presence sensor or measurement sensor. Presence sensors verify that features are present. Measurement sensors verify that features are the correct height, width and/or diameter. In either mode, there is no limit to the number of part features that a single device can check. Checker is also able to detect and track over 6,000ppm in varying positions along the production line, overcoming imprecise part positioning and delivering consistent, precisely timed pass/fall results. It does not require a PC for setup. Instead, the SensorView Teach Pendant, with its One-Click Setup TM technology, allows the user to set up jobs right on the line and has them running in a matter of minutes. A single teach pendant can be used to set up any number of sensors and can remain connected for real-time application monitoring.

Dew-point Hygrometer provides fast measurements

The MDM300 advanced dew-point hygrometer saves engineers waiting time through ceramic sensor technology, providing faster measurements. Dew points as low as -70°C can be measured in less than 10 minutes. This fast response does not rely on the sensor being dried by a desiccant, which means that every measurement is fast, allowing for many more measurements to be taken each day. Nickel metal hydride batteries and power management circuitry provide the user with 48 hours of use between charges. In addition a flat battery can be recharged to 90% of its full potential in just 20 minutes. With its Bluetooth connection, the device connects wirelessly to a PC. Set-up of the instrument and downloading of logged data is therefore quick and simple. A number of sampling systems are available ranging from simple fixed orifices for low pressure measurement to high-quality configurable sampling systems for pressures up to 400 BarG, designed for use in natural gas and other demanding process environments.

liquid/solid separation for the beverage industry

Mechanical liquid/solid separation is an important process step in the production of fruit and vegetable juices, beer, coffee, wine or spirits. High quality, optimum yields, and gentle treatment of natural resources are critical factors. Belt presses are used for the continuous extraction of fruit and vegetable mash offering an efficient design with easy accessibility. A pneumatic belt-control system ensures reliable operation. Disc stack centrifuges separate trub from juices, beer, coffee, wine and must. Separators enable reproducible partial discharges as well as partial and total discharges. Decanters are used where liquids with a high solids content have to be clarified like the continuous extraction of fruit mash and can process suspensions with a high trub content. Decanters also also utilized in the continuous clarification of waste water. Flottweg machines for the beverage industry are made out of hygienic stainless steel and can be individually adapted to each separation task.
