The FLIR GF306 visualizes Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) emissions and is the only optical gas imaging camera that has the sensitivity to detect levels of 0.1% of total SF6 amount in any given system. Used in the electric power industry as an insulator and quenching medium for gas-insulated substations and circuit breakers, new EU legislation on SF6 emissions is set to become law in 2019**.

The portable, non-contact GF306 camera allows you to quickly scan substations for leaks while maintaining a safe distance from high-voltage equipment. By catching leaks early, the GF306 reduces lost revenue to breakdowns and repairs as well as assuring future regulatory compliance. SF6 is harmful to the environment, it has a global warming potential 24,000 times higher than CO2 emissions - more than any other greenhouse gas.
