FLIR Commercial Systems today announced that Loic Premartin has been appointed to the position of Vice-President of Sales for its EMEA region.

Bringing more than 15 years experience of the international thermal imaging market - Mr Premartin was promoted from his most recent role as Sales Director (EMEA) for FLIR Systems' Research and Development product portfolio. During his 3 years in this position - Mr Premartin was able to help establish FLIR Systems as the market leader in thermal imaging solutions for R&D, Science and Industrial Gas Imaging.

"FLIR's thermal imaging technologies are today bringing significant benefits to a growing number of users. More and more people are discovering the benefits that thermal imaging cameras have to offer. That they can help to save time and money. Not only for R&D but also for industrial, building and machine vision applications. There is also no  other technology that is better for seeing at night. Security professionals, maritime and outdoor enthusiasts, firefighters ... they all can benefit from thermal imaging technology. My goal is to further proliferate thermal imaging technology within the EMEA region so that we can truly say "thermal imaging everywhere".  I want to help FLIR make
decisions that will allow scientists and engineers to realise the relevance and potential of thermal imaging, and by doing so, also help investors benefit from the FLIR's expertise and experience," said  Mr. Premartin.

Pioneers in all aspects of infrared technology, FLIR designs, manufactures, and supports thermal imaging systems and subsystems for industrial, scientific, governmental, commercial, and fire fighting applications. With a 50-year history of infrared innovation, over 100,000 systems in use worldwide, and development centres and sales offices in over 60 countries, FLIR is the world leader in thermal imaging technology.
