As part of a retrofit at Stockholm’s largest combined heat and power plant, Kraftvärmeverk 1, 241 AUMA electric actuators have been installed . The modern actuators with Profinet communications now ensure the smooth generation of electricity and heat from renewable fuels.
Nominal sizes up to DN 150 for safe and quick shutting off
Versatile and easy-to-maintain pump with small footprint
For safe conveying of high-viscosity fluids
Suitable for discharge applications in bulk handling
Compatible with EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and PROFINET protocols
Innovative concept with particularly high volumetric flow rates that are virtually identical in all directions
Modular valve engineering for a more efficient and sustainable valve, suitable for liquids, gases and vapors
Versatile options for a wide range of fluid handling applications
The new concept introduces complete speed control for an MV motor in a single energy efficient package for pumps, compressors, fans and other applications across multiple industries
Cooling systems are crucial parts of industrial facilities, and an efficient cooling tower is of critical importance for the performance and durability of the facility
Reduction of capital and operating costs in offshore systems above and below water
For fluid control applications in sectors such as pharmaceuticals as well as food & beverage production, manufacturers can increase productivity and reduce costs while helping to meet their sustainability objectives by integrating improved control valves. Hydroformed valve bodies for diaphragm valves achieve high strength and light weight. This makes hydroformed valve bodies far more energy efficient compared to forged or cast designs, and the manufacturing process is inherently more sustainable too.
Minimising downtimes with predictive maintenance
3D-printed containment shroud avoids disadvantages in operation
Adjustable speed options for modulating and part-turn actuators
CIP/SIP capable solution to avoid pressure surges in plants
Sulzer’s repair expertise supports reliability of water utilities with large-scale pump refurbishment project in Africa
Veolia Water Technologies has built an ultra-modern plant to produce drinking water in Ostend, Belgium. In a multi-stage filtration process, the water supplier is now producing drinking water of excellent quality – far above the statutory requirements. At critical points of the process – during reverse osmosis, filtration with activated carbon and remineralisation of the water – sliding gate valves made by Schubert & Salzer Control Systems are responsible for regulating pressure and flow rate.
Before purchasing something new, it is worthwhile to take a look at the stock and think about possible reuse and upgrading, as this example shows.
