Advanced Coriolis Flowmeter Supports High-speed, Short-batch Filling

When a producer of beverage filling systems sought more precise and repeatable alternatives to conventional volumetric-piston and weigh-scale fill measurement, they experimented with Coriolis flow measurement technology for high-speed, short-batch filling. But conventional Coriolis meters weren’t responsive enough to respond accurately to rapid fill cycles. Only a “breakthrough” Coriolis technology from Foxboro® met the challenge. The Foxboro CTF50 Coriolis flowmeter uses digital technology to continuously retune its flowtubes, preventing the erratic vibrations that occur when flows shift quickly from liquid to gas and back, without slippage or stoppage. The packaging producer achieved its goal for high-speed fill accuracy when customer tests of its new fill system showed that package-to-package weights were consistent to 0.1%.
