Resolve Optics is a leading developer of UV lenses that provide an optimised solution that enable detectives and crime scene investigators to capture evidence images not possible using traditional cameras. Operating in the 320-400nm spectral waveband – Reflected Ultraviolet Imaging Systems, or RUVIS scopes are widely used for detecting traces of fingerprints and bodily fluids, including semen, blood, and saliva left undiscovered by initial visual crime scene investigation.

Focusing mount for extended magnification range

Designed specifically for forensic investigation – Resolve Optics Model 228 is a full featured high performance UV lens. The lens offers an extended magnification range using a novel telescopic focusing mount that provides a large movement in an extremely compact form. The compact design of the lens has allowed it to be readily adapted to perfectly match the handheld concept of almost any RUVIS system.
Delivering unmatched high performance in both the UV and visible wavebands, the Model 228 lens enables investigators to identify and focus on a target in the visible and then quickly slide the UV filter across to take images in the UV without having to refocus. Because of its wide field of view and high transmission lens coatings - the Model 228 lens is considerably more light-efficient than any other longer focal length lens offering an identical view.
