Water Analyzers with Improved Nitrogen Measurement

TN_b (Total Nitrogen bound) is considered an important indicator of nitrogen loading in various environmental media and is often measured using a catalyst. However, catalyst performance degrades over time, affecting measurement results and necessitating periodic recalibration. The accuracy, and therefore reliability, of TN_b measurements is thus compromised. Process Insight's latest development allows the elimination of a catalyst by using a reactor packing with special ceramic balls. As a result, TN_b concentrations are accurately determined down to 200 ppm TN_b. The LAR Ultra analyzer series from Process Insights AG is used to measure TOC, TC, TIC, TN_b, TOD and COD. The innovation enables precise and rapid measurement of TN_b and offers added value for environmental monitoring, resource efficiency, water quality and ecological research.
