The mobile phone Pegasus for use in hazardous areas has been designed for the use in rough industrial environments, e.g. in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, in the oil and gas sector or in refineries. They offer protection type IP65 and the use at ambient temperatures between -20 and 60°C. The keyboard provides tactile feedback and has been designed to be used even with gloves. The OLED full colour display with 128 x 160 pixels can easily be read even under poor light conditions. The phone features hands-free speaking, a vibration function and allows for text messages (SMS) to be sent and received. The phone is equipped with a quadband GSM module (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). It can be used in hazardous areas up to ATEX zone 2, 22 ; UL class I II III div 2 (depending on the model). It has an optional “man down sensor“ guaranteeing increased occupational safety of employees. Due to the integrated GPS receiver and the sophisticated software, it can be used for professional online tracking.
