In Germany alone there are around 10,000 sewage works run by local authorities using around 4,400 gigawatt-hours of electricity each year, equivalent to the entire annual output of one modern coal-fired power station. The Umweltbundesamt estimates that around 20% of this energy could be saved – through more efficient aeration, improved plant controls and the use of engines and pumps with the highest energy-efficiency rating. Exhibitors at IFAT ENTSORGA trade fair will offer solutions in terms of energy-efficient components, modern control and monitoring systems and comprehensive consultancy services. The next event takes place at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from 13 to 17 September 2010. IFAT ENTSORGA is the trade fair for innovations, new developments and services in the fields of water, sewage, waste and raw materials management.
