In the unusual and evocative setting of WOW Spazio Fumetto in Milan, a creative area part of the former Motta confectionery factory, the 2020 edition of Automation Instrumentation Summit was presented to the public. Now in its third edition, the event sponsored by AIS, ISA Italy, ISA Emea will take place from 17 to 18 June 2020. The aim of the event is to promote know-how and innovation in the strategic sectors of automation, instrumentation and Industry 4.0 thanks to an original synergy that includes cultural growth, certified training and business opportunities. Building on the success of previous editions, the third edition moves in continuity in terms of format, scientific value of content, propensity for internationalisation, focus on process automation, maximum attention to the needs of exhibitors and conference attendees. The event will be co-located with ISA EMEA 2020 Conference & Exhibition.

The two-day event is part of the Automation Instrumentation Week, a wide series of exhibitions, scientific, informative and educational events in the round, including a visit to some production plants:

  • 15-16 June 2020 - Training days
  • 17-18 June 2020 - Automation Instrumentation Summit (Conference and Exhibition)
  • 19-20 June 2020 - District Leaders Council
  • 21 June 2020 - Tour on automation application sites

High-profile themes and players

During the Summit, leading companies and industry experts will present trends, innovations and best practices focused on cybersecurity, safety, IoT, Machine Learning, Industry 4.0, monitoring, analysis and measurement instrumentation, control technologies, industrial communication and wireless networks. Power, Renewables, Oil&Gas, Chemical-pharmaceutical, Food, Critical Infrastructures, Metrology and Process Industry in general will be the most affected application sectors. Absolute novelty, in line with the organizational and relational models outlined by the current digital revolution, will be some events related to productivity, leadership, corporate welfare and organizational well-being. 

In addition to the ASI - ISA network, the high scientific and technological profile of the event is ensured by a first-class Scientific Committee as well as players and partners and by the likes of Saudi Aramco, Saipem, Politecnico di Milano, Università Complutense di Madrid, to name but a few. The scientific committee of international experts will issue the call for papers by the end of the year.
