The Jamesbury series 7000/9000 automated shutoff valves meet EN161 and EN264, as approved by TÜV. They provide protection against fire and explosive hazards during the operation of gas- and oilburning equipment. When the electrical signal is interrupted or when there is a loss of air pressure, these burner valves close within 1 second to isolate the gas or oil flow. This action may be initiated either by safety trip or normal shutdown sequencing. The units consist of either: a Jamesbury valve with a Metso actuator plus a solenoid pilot valve; or the SIL3-approved Neles ValvGuard safety-valve controller. The units are suitable for use in safety loops with SIL compliance according to ISO61508. The flexible-lip Xtreme seat design makes the valves bubble tight and gives them an outstanding lifetime, even under high thermal cycle situations. Shaft sealing meets the fugitive emission standards of ISO15848 Class BH and TA-Luft VDI 2440. The valves are Fire-Safe according to ISO10497 and API607 5th Edition.
