Precision Technology is part of the Precision Technology Group, which designs innovative motion and motion control technologies for many different industries. Like all the companies within the group, Precision Technology UK has a strong focus on design expertise – offering end users bespoke engineered solutions.
Chris Oswald, Precision Technology Group Chief Executive, comments: “Precision Technology UK has a good reputation within the marine industry and we have a growing presence in other markets. We feel it’s important that we work with other manufacturers and suppliers with similar reputations in their field, which is why we’re so excited by the partnership with Oilgear.”
Oilgear manufactures a complete range of hydraulic components, control panels and accessories. Its products are popular across many markets including marine, oil and gas and defence, where its experienced design engineers are able to develop bespoke packages which are renowned for offering efficient performance and long lasting reliability. Its complete range of components and engineering knowledge will now be available to all Precision Technology customers through the distribution agreement.
Chris continues: “We’re a very creative company and will always find a solution to meet the exact needs of our customer. This arrangement opens up an array of new, high quality technology to us as well as almost 100 years of design knowledge. We expect that the most popular components will be the smaller valves and variable displacement pump, but we are doing more work with industrial companies, so I’m sure that we’ll be taking advantage of the entire Oilgear range.”
Neil English, Oilgear UK Sales Manager, adds: “As our product range continues to expand, thanks to continued investment in our manufacturing capabilities, we will be looking to build more distributor relationships like the one we have with Precision Technology UK.
“Precision Technology UK is a growing business that is extremely successful in the marine industry and expanding in other markets too. Our experience in these other industries will help them to win business, while their position in the marine and defence markets will allow Oilgear to reach new end-users and grow our market share.”
The distributor agreement between the two companies includes supply of standard and customised components, design and installation services and ongoing maintenance contracts to ensure that all packages continue to perform efficiently throughout their operating life.
