The first staging of Valve World Expo Americas, held recently in The Woodlands, Texas, just outside of Houston, was a great success, earning raves from exhibitors and visitors alike. On a display area of 13,280 net square feet, 93 exhibitors from the United States, Canada, Asia, Europe, India, and Latin America presented the latest technologies, components and systems from the broad field of industrial valve technology to 1,100 visitors.  The fact that the exhibitors brought over 700 staff members (not included in the 1,100 visitor count) to the event demonstrates the importance of Valve World Expo Americas 2011 as a meeting point to network with the industry. The trade fair fully reached its goal to provide an international, yet American, focused platform for technical and commercial exchange about the latest technologies, developments and products for this sector. This conference with an exhibition component was collaboration between Messe Düsseldorf and KCI Publishing, both already cooperating for the Valve World Expo held in Düsseldorf, Germany every two years.

“This debut was an amazing success and exceeded our expectations. Coming on the heels of the successful move of the main Valve Word Expo to Düsseldorf, Germany last fall, this new event for the Americas fits exceptionally well into our growing portfolio of valve equipment trade fairs worldwide,” stated Tom Mitchell, President of Messe Düsseldorf North America. “The conference itself was very well attended and served to augment the show floor,” remarked Thijs Elshof, General Manager Americas, KCI Publishing Corporation. “Almost unanimously, the delegates and exhibitors alike praised the quality of the trade fair and the conference, and validated our decision to launch an event in this market.” The next Valve World Americas Expo and Conference will be held from June 25 - 26, 2013.  Based on the unprecedented demand for space, the event will move to downtown Houston and take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
