Form A and Form B sizes for Zone 2 and 22
Absolute sterility, optimised processes and lower operating costs – the food industry is challenged to align its production procedures amid these conflicting interests. The measurement technology employed to check individual process parameters plays a decisive role here. WIKA has now opened up a new chapter in pressure instrumentation: an in-line process transmitter with a “dry” measuring cell takes monitoring of this variable in sterile applications to a higher level.
Reduction of capital and operating costs in offshore systems above and below water
For fluid control applications in sectors such as pharmaceuticals as well as food & beverage production, manufacturers can increase productivity and reduce costs while helping to meet their sustainability objectives by integrating improved control valves. Hydroformed valve bodies for diaphragm valves achieve high strength and light weight. This makes hydroformed valve bodies far more energy efficient compared to forged or cast designs, and the manufacturing process is inherently more sustainable too.
Easy discharge and cleaning without bomb doors or manual intervention
Flexibly expandable solution that is suitable for use with static and retractable fittings
For easier access to diagnostic data of sensors
Methane emission regulations and reduction targets such as “Fit for 55” transform the technology used for pipeline shutdown
The hydrogen industry needs to scale up quickly and needs a transport infrastructure for that. Wouldn’t it be great if the existing grid could be used?
Supporting sustainability goals with zero ozone depleting potential
Adjustable speed options for modulating and part-turn actuators
For accurate, low maintenance measurement online water analysis system
Engineered for quick and easy commissioning and reliable open/close valve position feedback
Autonomous Wireless Sensor Nodes Provide Data via LoRaWAN
CIP/SIP capable solution to avoid pressure surges in plants
Veolia Water Technologies has built an ultra-modern plant to produce drinking water in Ostend, Belgium. In a multi-stage filtration process, the water supplier is now producing drinking water of excellent quality – far above the statutory requirements. At critical points of the process – during reverse osmosis, filtration with activated carbon and remineralisation of the water – sliding gate valves made by Schubert & Salzer Control Systems are responsible for regulating pressure and flow rate.
GEA supplies Britvic, one of UK’s leading soft drinks manufacturers, with a heat recovery system at its Beckton site, in London. The installation begins this summer and will result in cutting the factory’s carbon emissions by an estimated 1,200 tons annually – equivalent to the annual energy usage of around 500 UK homes.
The new Bürkert building complex in Taicang Port, in the east of the People’s Republic of China, was officially opened at a inauguration ceremony on 11 October 2023. With the new building, Bürkert Fluid Control Systems is strengthening its position in the Asian area and can therefore support customers more closely on site.
For applications with flow rates up to 2000 l/h
Ideal for applications that require tight pressure tolerance and centralized control and monitoring
As a pillar of the global economy, the process industry is facing major challenges: high energy consumption and high use of fossil fuels, rising energy costs and stricter legal regulations make the decarbonization of the industry increasingly urgent. In order to achieve CO2 reductions and higher energy efficiency in their own operations, it is essential that companies drive the digitalization and automation of their entire production process. With the increase in hydrogen mobility, the network of refuelling stations is densifying. The sector is investing heavily into the infrastructure. This creates a significant demand for measurement technology, mainly to ensure the safety of the refuelling process.
Possible reduction of hardware costs on G3 fieldbus platform
As of 1 June 2023, Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has taken over the majority stake in the young Swiss company ReseaTech from Burgdorf. Both companies have already been working successfully on joint projects since 2021.
Compact device for low flow rate measurement
Robust and easy-to-clean modular rotary valve series
Using a Smart Safety Test by safety specialist HIMA, specialty chemicals manufacturer Evonik in Marl, Germany, was able to increase the availability of a propene distillation unit. With the help of partial stroke tests on safety-relevant butterfly valves, the cycles between plant shutdowns can be extended from one to three years. The successful project is being acclaimed as groundbreaking because of its economic significance.

Enhanced process variable and diagnostic standardization for different field device technologies.
Robust quarter-turn actuators for safety-related duties
High efficient and low wear dry pumps
One year of stable operation demonstrates this next-generation control technology can decrease environmental impact, achieve stable quality, and transform operations
AI-based early detection of abnormalities to increase maintenance efficiency for GC8000 process gas chromatograph
Lightweight and versatile device with high accuracy
SISTO Armaturen S.A., a member of the KSB Group, inaugurated a newly built technology centre in Echternach, Luxembourg, on 27 February 2023.
Maintenance-free unit for hygienic valves
The basis for the CIP cleaning process is an optimized interaction of the factors mechanics, time and chemistry. Cleaning agents and rinsing solutions are applied to the surfaces of the plant components via a spray head integrated into the equipment. The movement of the spray head ensures that the cleaning solutions completely wet all surfaces and thus clean them.
