The offshore industry will be fully represented at Instrumentation Scotland & Offshore Systems, the event that gathers together numerous companies that supply specific solutions and services to the sector, in addition to North East Scotland’s other key industries, including processing, power generation, paper, distilling, water and waste, marine engineering and more.

Event manager Louise Pudney comments: “The show offers an ideal opportunity to gather information about what your competitors are doing and at the same time gain new business partners. It's often the first glimpse you'll get of new product releases, special programmes, or fresh marketing initiatives.”

Lee Spring, a leading supplier of spring products around the world, recently joined the exhibitor line-up at the show. Commenting on what visitors can expect from the company, managing director, Chris Petts says: “Lee Spring representatives will be available to discuss specific projects exhibitors may be working on currently, as well as offering our catalogue to visitors.

“We will be discussing and displaying some new products including a stock series of stainless steel 316 products for superior corrosion resistance and die springs which are now available in longer and freer length options. On the precision side, we have a new expanded line of Lite Pressure compression springs to show. Representatives will be available to discuss custom capabilities and project specific needs also.”

Miland Associates, a new independent distributor is also to exhibit at the show. Company owner Eric Anderson, comments: “We will demonstrate varying product lines from Sensors, Fieldbus Technologies, IO Systems and Interface Technology to name but a few as well as some exciting new product lines.”

Seminar Programme

The exhibition also boasts a free CPD accredited seminar programme. Neil Mead, managing editor of the Industrial Division at Datateam Business Media comments: “This year’s seminar programme will feature expert speakers from a range of companies including Beamex, Green Hills Software and Shawcity. It has been specifically designed to help visitors address current challenges within the sector and move forward.”

Independent embedded software provider, Green Hills, will delve into the topic 'Securing the Internet of Things'. Christopher Smith, vice president of marketing, Green Hills Software comments: "The design of internet connected devices and systems - from remote sensors, to offshore connected instrumentation, to power stations - must be fundamentally architected for security to keep the hackers out. Green Hills Software has been working with customers for over 30 years, helping them achieve the highest levels of security, safety and reliability."

Alex Graft, product specialist manager at Shawcity, will be analysing the subject of 'Gas Detection and the Offshore Process Engineer'. Graft explains what visitors can anticipate from the talk: "The work of the Process Engineer and Industrial Hygienist is diverse and can involve dealing with a great number of risks and processes that must be managed and monitored. Our presentation aims to help simplify that process by looking at what is required across some standard projects and how those requirements can be managed and streamlined with the newest technologies specifically looking at gas detection."
