The offshore industry will be fully represented at Instrumentation Scotland & Offshore Systems, the event that gathers together numerous companies that supply specific solutions and services to the sector, in addition to North East Scotland’s other key industries, including processing, power generation, paper, distilling, water and waste, marine engineering and more.

Event manager Louise Pudney comments: “The show offers an ideal opportunity to gather information about what your competitors are doing and at the same time gain new business partners. It's often the first glimpse you'll get of new product releases, special programmes, or fresh marketing initiatives.”

Who are the exhibitors

Exhibitors include Shawcity; Institute of Measurement & Control; Hitex; ESI; Michell; Sullivan & Sons; Isothermal; Industrial Communications; Fischer Connectors; Swagelok; Rivertrace Engineering; Beamex; VPG Sensors; Berthold Technologies; PR Electronics; Miland; Green Hills Software; Product Technology Partners; Jumo Instruments; Nikon Metrology; Lee Spring; Bronkhorst; Swagelok; Infratec; Instrumentation; PCN; Gambica and more.

It has been specifically designed to help visitors address current challenges within the sector and move forward.”

Independent embedded software provider, Green Hills, will delve into the topic 'Securing the Internet of Things'. Christopher Smith, vice president of marketing, Green Hills Software comments: "The design of internet connected devices and systems - from remote sensors, to offshore connected instrumentation, to power stations - must be fundamentally architected for security to keep the hackers out. Green Hills Software has been working with customers for over 30 years, helping them achieve the highest levels of security, safety and reliability."

Alex Graft, product specialist manager at Shawcity, will be analysing the subject of 'Gas Detection and the Offshore Process Engineer'. Graft explains what visitors can anticipate from the talk: "The work of the Process Engineer and Industrial Hygienist is diverse and can involve dealing with a great number of risks and processes that must be managed and monitored. Our presentation aims to help simplify that process by looking at what is required across some standard projects and how those requirements can be managed and streamlined with the newest technologies specifically looking at gas detection."
